Mary Alice Fund

We would like to recognize and express our sincere appreciation to all of our donors.  Most of our funds are raised by the voluntary contributions families with the means to do so. They have made them in return for our private college admissions coaching and test prep services.  In addition, we have been supported by local community organizations such as the Rotary Club and individual philanthropists who believe in our cause.  Without these individuals and organizations, what we do would not be possible. The Mary Alice Fund provides test prep and college admissions services for free or at reduced rates to students and schools (and non-profit organizations).

At no charge to schools and non-profit organizations we provide free programs for the youth they serve (eighth grade through high school) and their families.  Our most popular program is an evening session (approximately two hours) with families (both parents and students) to assist them with understanding the college application/admissions processes, financial aid and the SAT and ACT college admissions tests. For fun, we include a few great test-taking tips and tricks!

We do not charge for our time or request to be reimbursed for travel expenses.  We simply ask the hosting organization to: 1) promote the seminar, 2) provide a free space, and 3) duplicate the handout that will be distributed during the program.

If you and your organization would be interested in hosting one of our evening (or weekend) programs, please use the following links to learn more about us:

If you like what you see and want more information:

Our philosophy is that no student with academic promise should be denied test prep services due to a family’s ability to pay. We have recently (April, 2017) received substantial support from a philanthropist that has allowed us to provide our online video program at a substantially reduced fee. Our previous $50.00 per month fee has been reduced to $10.00 per month. If a student is participating in the federal free and reduced price meals program, the student is eligible to use our online video program for free. We simply ask to receive an email from a school staff member using an education agency email address verifying the student’s eligibility.
